Interesting words - Anne Morrow Lindbergh
"I enjoy very much talking to Jean Monnet, about the world of tolerance we are leaving, about how everyone is labeled today. (He thinks the tendency so dangerous and insidious -- as I do -- that it is one of the factors that make war inevitable._ I always enjoy him. He pulls me up to the best kind of thinking and talking. One can't be careless or lazy or undiscriminating, and when you take the trouble to be the best you are, you are sure of being met with his wise, acute, civilized understanding. And I LOVE his humor, which comes from understanding, wisdom, and a kindly but SOMEWHAT disillusioned observation."
