Doc was a teacher from 1967 to 2010. (Sigh)

1535 - Wolf Hall
I am into Wolf Hall now and have the oddest feeling about it. I think it is part of the consequences of being an actor. In my acting time, I played Archbishop Cranmer in A Man for All Seasons, and was a foe of Sir Thomas More. Getting into that character made me embrace emotions dealing with the very people that inhabit this book. The politics and conflicts seem alive in my own memories, and when the discussion turns to what to do about Henry VIII's desire to dismiss Catherine is totally real to me. Thomas Cromwell is part of my own personal past, it seems.
