Nobody Ever Tells Me Anything

Doc was a teacher from 1967 to 2010. (Sigh)

These days you can watch the weather evolving the way you read a book. When I was a child, it was mostly a wild guess what was on the way. Now we could see the huge hurricane remnant crossing the north pacific and slamming into the Aleutians and Canada. It is hugely sweeping down the interior of Canada and heading for the Midwest. Temperatures in the Iowa area dropped up to forty degrees in an hour or so. Minnesota was slammed with snow today, up to fourteen inches. We can also see that the storm entered the continent up north and its western edge looks to be just east of the Cascades. What we are going to get is not snow but cold, edging that way today. It is going to be a cold week and stick around after that. So we can listen to our money going up the pipe in the sound of the furnace running. :(
