"Millions of persons long for immortality who do not know what to do with themselves on a rainy afternoon."
Temperature this morning is about 61, perfect sleeping weather; however, it meant that I had to light a fire in the fire place. Even that was fine, as a fire gives a soul to the cabin and makes it less alone for me. I did tell Charlie (who made a fire every night) that I seldom use the fireplace at all, so am proving myself wrong. I sat up late reading and enjoyed it entirely. Only here can I look at the clock at 12:45 and say to myself,'I am going to sit by the fire and finish this book.'
So, brilliant sunny, breezy, coolish morning in the north woods.
My older sister is coming for a visit today, and that will be nice.
