Today is the peak of the Perseid meteorite shower display. Back in Wisconsin there was considerable anticipation, media-wise, and were I at the lake I could look up from the dock into the clear northern sky to see it. Maybe put out a deck chair, even. Of course, life being as it is, I am back in the PNW where clear skies are not guaranteed and meteor showers are sort of a mythology. Too bad. They say this was going to be one of the better years. You guys go out and look for me.
On the other hand, I saw two spectacular sunsets in North Dakota and Montana in recent days.
