"When I think of others and their struggles and look behind their exteriors, I know that they too are seeking the answer to a question for which there is no answer."
Our custom in Northern Wisconsin was to take the blooming lilacs up the street to the cemetery and put them on the graves of family. The lilacs would be just right for the holiday. Here in Seattle the lilacs always bloomed in April, so that custom never was possible. To show you how cool this Spring has been, our purple lilac bush today is just past full bloom, still pretty and with good odor. This is easily the latest lilac blooming year since we came here in 1972.
