Interesting words - Gail Sheehy

Everyone gives the entering college freshman a big buildup -- "These will be the best years of your life," "I remember when I was in college" -- but what no adult remembers is the coma one enters along about the first Thanksgiving when there are four days to pack, reconnect with family, see your old friends, write three papers, study for exams, disconnect from family, travel back, unpack, and realize what s singularly miserable failure you are because this is NOT the best year of your life by a long shot.
